We’re looking for neuro-disabled people or people who care for someone with a neurological condition to join our small team of Lived Experience Consultants, the people who help shape our work and make sure it authentically reflects their lives.

Lived Experience Consultants are central to our creative process, sharing their stories of what it’s like to be, or to care for, someone with a neurological disability such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s or acquired brain injury. People like Teresa, who you can read about here.

Together, we create thought-provoking professional productions and experiences that shine a light on those stories, challenging perceptions of neuro-disability and encouraging people to see neuro-disabled people with kinder eyes. We’re looking for people interested in becoming a Lived Experience Consultant who:

  • Have direct experience of neuro-disability, either yourself or as a family member or carer
  • Live within reach of Thurrock in Essex, although this isn’t essential

In return, we will pay any expenses you might incur from working with us, compensate you for your time, and offer the chance to get closer to our creative process and see your experiences brought to life through dance, movement and technology.

To apply, or find out more, contact Katie Sheasby, CoDa General Manager at katie@codadance.com by Friday 27 September.
