Our Dance for Neurology sessions have become a regular weekly fixture for patients at London’s Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. This January, thanks to support from the National Lottery Community Fund, City Bridge Foundation and Partners for Health, we’ve been able to expand them to bi-weekly sessions at Queen Mary’s Hospital too.

Dance for Neurology is designed to complement physiotherapy rehabilitation for neuro-disabled people with conditions like Multiple Sclerosis and acquired brain injuries. Movement and dance exercises are tailored to the needs and abilities of each participant; supporting them to move more frequently, with a greater range of motion; to support brain function; create social connections; and have fun.

We started our new sessions at Queen Mary’s on 4 January, with 13 enthusiastic patients taking part.A lot of dancing and laughter was enjoyed by us all and we’re looking forward to bringing movement to more health and community locations throughout 2025 and beyond.
